What to Expect of Our Services?
1. Once you have signed up for service, you will receive a confirmation text and email regarding your first service date.

2. The day before your service, you will receive a reminder text and email reminding you of your upcoming service.

3. You'll then receive a text the day of your scheduled service letting you know when your tech is on the way. ​Your tech will arrive in a branded vehicle and shirt, so you know exactly who we are upon arrival!

4. Your tech will remove dog waste and spray deodorizer around the specified areas of your yard.

5. And finally... you'll receive a text letting you know that your tech has completed your pet waste removal and we will even send a photo of your gate closed for peace of mind next time you let your pets outside.
MEET THE OWNERS
Lane and Madelyn Blackwell moved to Fort Lauderdale in the summer of 2020 with their 3 (yes, you read that right) labradoodles and decided to add another to their pack in 2021 when they fell in love with a sheepadoodle puppy. They decided they weren't busy enough with 4 dogs... and in the fall of 2024 welcomed their first baby girl into the world.

As small business owners, they felt there was a lot of families who might be in similar situation of running out of time in the day, which is why they decided to start the pet waste removal service in addition to their main company, Can Cleanse, that offers trash can cleaning for residential properties. There seemed to be no better fit to continue to remove unwanted smells from people's beautiful homes and communities.
Sammy Leighton moved to Fort Lauderdale in 2021 after graduating from Endicott College with a degree in Hospitality Management. At the time, she did not have any pets and began dog walking as a side hustle to stay connected to her lifelong love of animals—a passion that quickly turned into a thriving business. Within months, she had 40 recurring clients, and in 2022, she officially launched The Dog Walker FL. By 2025, the company had grown to a team of nine and a client list of over 450 loyal pet owners.
When long-time clients, Lane and Madelyn Blackwell, approached her with the idea for Yard Cleanse, Sammy knew it was a perfect match. With her background in hospitality, pet care, and business development, she joined as Co-Owner and Chief Revenue Officer, excited to help bring cleaner, healthier yards to the Fort Lauderdale community. Sammy now lives with her rescue dog and cat, Zuli and Felix, and her crested gecko, Spike.
